I have one bedroom with second room for rent in a furnished two bedroom apartment that is available for short or long term consideration. The available room is furnished with a bed, desk, nigh and mirror. It is a nice, large and sunny space, with hard wood floors throughout, high ceilings, original detail, and third floor walk up. The second room, which can function as an office, is joined by french glass doors, so youre really getting two full rooms for yourself in addition to a shared living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The living room is large and sunny; there is a cute, clean bathroom with modern fixtures, ample hot water, and an EIK with cooking gas stove and dishwasher. The apartment is located in North Park Slope/Boerum Hill (on St. Mark's place around 4th ave). If you have a car, there is usually plenty of parking on the street available outside the building. The brownstone building is from 1880, somewhat dilapidated on the outside three family unit, but well kept on the inside of the apartment, freshly painted. It is three blocks away from the Atlantic/Pacific train station (2,3,4,5,6,D,N,R trains /LIRR) and also near all the hip restaurants and bars on 4th and 5th ave and Smith street, as well as, Prospect Park and Fort Greene / Prospect Heights. Also, Key Food, Target, markets, cafes, laundry, yoga all not more than 4 blocks away. I have a male, neutered cat, so you must be pet friendly. If you have a cat that would be acceptable as well, but a female spayed cat is preferred. The rent is $1450.00 and I would ask for a fully refundable deposit (terms negotiable). The apartment is viewable anytime this Sunday/Monday. The rooms will be ready for a March 1st move in date. If you are interested, please e-mail.
More info on me and what I am looking for:
I 'm a Brooklyn woman, over 30, and I've lived in this apartment for four years. The apartment would be great for an artist/writer/student - someone that is around during the day, who would get to enjoy this lovely, sunny space. The available rooms have two entrances and separate well into a personal workspace in addition to sleeping space. The apartment is great for shares; bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment, separated by a very long hallway. There is ample light and good cross ventilation. There is cable TV and internet wifi. All utilities, including cable TV and internet wifi total around $100.00 a month. I have experienced the whole spectrum of shared living relationships and Im comfortable with most arrangements so long as respect, consideration, honesty and communication are involved. Couples considered but only at a higher rent rate. I enjoy cooking and drinking wine this time of year (Im half French). I have a corporate day job but Im politically active, lefty leaning. Im not vegetarian but sensitive to purchase organic & free range products as I can afford them. I listen to WBAI talk radio, Democracy Now and pod casts a lot.
