Hi! I'm a 21 yr old female college student looking for a roommate for my 2 bedroom Noho apartment until Sept 1, 2009. You could move in as soon as this weekend!
I would like to live with someone who is around 20-25 years old, easy going and responsible. The rent will be $1200 plus internet and utilities. First month, last month and one month's security since only my name is on the lease.
The apartment is on a very quiet block on Mott St between Bleecker and Houston St, literally around the corner from the Bleecker St 6 train and a hop away from the B,D,F, V trains at Broadway-Lafayette. There is also an N,R,W stop at Prince and Broadway which is only a few blocks away. The Bowery Wholefoods is right around the corner, there is a laundry place/dry cleaner on Mott itself and two Duane Reade's within a few blocks.
There is every store, restaurant and bar imaginable within a few blocks. It is central to Soho, LES, Greenwich Village - the location really couldn't be better! The street (Mott), the apartment, and the building are all really charming! It is a co-op so the building is kept in excellent condition and there is a live-in super on the first floor who is ready and willing to help.
There is exposed brick in the hallway of the building and wide (meaning easy for move-in!) stone stairs leading up to the apartment. It is an effortless 2 floor walk up. The apartment is small but its condition, the building and its amazing location more than make up for what it lacks in size. When you first walk in you are in the kitchen/living room (it's open so it's one room for the 2). There is a table with 2 chairs and 2 stools, a small sofa, a TV and the kitchen counter, fridge and cabinets. There are two windows that overlook a courtyard. To the right of that room is the first bedroom.
Down a small hallway, on the other side of the main room is the other bedroom. There are two windows overlooking a courtyard (it is a back facing apartment so there is NO street noise whatsoever). There is built-in storage (deep shelves) running the length of the wall and a bar for hanging clothes underneath that. It's what's called an "open closet". The bedroom has wood floors and is next to the bathroom.
The bathroom is shaped like a V but with the right leg longer than the left. The left leg has the toilet and a standing storage unit and there's a small window and a relatively large windowsill for more storage. In the other leg there is the sink (tiiiiiiny, true NYC style!) with a medicine cabinet above and the shower a few feet beyond that. It is a standing, curtained shower in good condition. There is tiled floor in the bathroom. The bathroom is in good shape overall.
INTERESTED?
Please email me telling me a bit about yourself, what you do (work/study) and your living habits and I will be happy to respond! I am looking for a DRAMA FREE living environment! I am available to meet you and show the apartment ASAP at your convenience!
Please note that I will NOT live with smokers or drug users: I will only accept alcohol in moderation. Please be upfront and tell me your stance on this. If you are planning to have a significant other or friends stay overnight often then this is NOT the apartment for you. Also, no pets please!
Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon!
